You are essentially playing on a smaller screen dimension monitor, that takes up more space and energy, for negligible visual gain, especially since crt's become fuzzy as they age. The upshots of crt's is contrast and not much else as far as I can tell. Some people say input lag, but a millisecond or two isn't why a person sucks at overwatch or fortnite.
